Beckley, W.Va. (October 28, 2024) – Andy Davis, Director of Strategic Redevelopment at the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA), is speaking at the October 29-30 West Virginia Hub Federal Community Development Funding and Grant Writing Training at the Tamarack Conference Center.

Jina Belcher, NRGRDA Executive Director, said, “Andy will offer real-time examples of regional projects that involved multiple funding agencies and are symbolic of the types of opportunities West Virginia leaders are pursuing. We appreciate the West Virginia Hub sponsoring this valuable federal funding and grant writing training.”

Those attending will gain valuable skills and resources to enhance community development initiatives. During Day 1, experts will share their knowledge and experience about available state and federal funding resources for community development projects and initiatives. Speakers will look at currently available federal opportunities, annual opportunities, and new emerging funding opportunities for 2025.

On Day 2, the West Virginia Grant Resources Centers will offer a full day of in-depth training on how to find, write and secure federal grants. This five-hour training will include multiple technical resources, examples of successful grant language, and one-on-one support in grant development.

Forward Southern WV, NRGRDA Contribute $20,000 to Propel ‘Project GRACE’ To Help Just for Kids Child Advocacy Center Respond to Child Exploitation

Leading local non-profit organizations — Forward Southern West Virginia and New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA) — are donating $10,000 each to help propel an education and training campaign, Project GRACE (Gathered Response to Address Child Exploitation), being coordinated by Just for Kids Child Advocacy Center serving Fayette and Raleigh counties.
