Access to funding is a fundamental component to the entrepreneurial experience. At the WV Hive, we know businesses in our service area struggle to connect to the critical resources for funding and therefore have dedicated ourselves to building a bridge to help overcome this barrier. Regardless of your capital needs, your WV Hive business advisor can help you choose your best opportunity.

Technical Assistance Funds

The WV Hive has long supported entrepreneurs in the start-up, incubation stage by providing technical assistance (TA) funding. Though this funding is limited, the Hive maintains a close collaboration with funding agents to provide access to funding to help our entrepreneurs hurdle specific barriers. To be considered for TA funds, an entrepreneur must be from our 13-county service area and a Hive client. If you are not a Hive client and are looking for additional support funds, click the Apply Now button below. If you are a WV Hive client, simply talk with your business advisor about your interest in TA funds.

Traditional and Non-Traditional Lending

The WV Hive works with partners across the West Virginia entrepreneurship ecosystem to provide referrals to qualifying traditional and non-traditional lending programs. Our relationships with private foundations, banking institutions, angel investors and venture capital groups, and economic development authorities give us the unique ability to assist you in connecting your business with the funding options necessary to drive success.
